Sophie Van Bunnik
Kia Ora,
If something in your relationship, your sex life, or your body isn’t feeling quite right, you’re not alone.
I’m a warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed counsellor who strongly believes that everyone deserves support that feels safe, non-judgemental, and genuinely human.
I bring several years of experience working as a sex and libido coach, and am skilled in supporting clients with body-image and confidence, communication and boundary setting, shame, infidelity and other relationship- and intimacy-related challenges. I also have experience working with young people as they navigate mental health challenges like depression and anxiety.
My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and deeply respectful of your pace and any preferences you bring to the counselling process, whether they’re cultural, emotional, spiritual or something else entirely. I tailor every session to you, and every part of you is welcome in the room with me.
I’m currently completing my Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling Theory with the University of Auckland, continuing to deepen my skills and practice.
Outside of counselling, you’ll find me doing watercolour paintings, going for runs followed by a coffee in the sun, or reading my book.
